We believe that all Scripture is verbally inspired by God and that it is the supreme and final authority in faith and life.
We believe in one God existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection and His Second Coming.
We believe that man is created in the image of God, that man sinned and thereby incurred physical death and separation from God.
We believe that the Christian is saved by grace through faith wholly apart from human merit and works and that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead: the saved to eternal life in heaven and the unsaved to eternal judgment.
We believe that Christians are to be separated unto God, living holy lives pleasing to Him and witnessing to His glory.
We believe that God directly created the heavens and the earth and all that lies therein.

The staff and board of
HERITAGE ACADEMY support the philosophy that God and His Word are the authority and instruction to both parents and teachers on how to raise up strong robust fervent children in this upside-down world. Children at HERITAGE ACADEMY will be consistently challenged to see the world through the lens of God’s Word. It is our desire to help children develop a sound Biblical worldview regarding all of life and to develop a strong relationship with Christ.

HERITAGE ACADEMY also believes that, although children learn at different speeds and are gifted with different learning styles, all children can become excited learners. When a child’s prominent learning style is discovered and nurtured, s/he develops an understanding of himself that aids the learning process. The delight in learning grows from one competency to the next as the student is led by a skilled, observant, relational teacher.

ERITAGE ACADEMY also believes that parents are chosen for a child by God. HERITAGE ACADEMY staff will always turn a child’s heart toward home. A good relationship between home and school with healthy, consistent communication is essential for the well-being of a child.

Students will be directed to take
responsibility to become advocates for their own academic growth by learning to ask correct questions and to request help when needed. They will lean to wrestle with and conquer their academic subjects. They will learn to recognize and reject entitlement as they take responsibility for mistakes recognizing that mistakes are not failures but are that part of life that helps us grow the most. Students will be led to take responsibility for their own spiritual growth and to develop a personal relationship with Jesus. They will be directed to grow in their responsibility to be kind, to be respectful, to be attentive, to be generous, and to behave.

No family should have to sacrifice academic learning for spiritual input. We take
responsibility for your tuition dollar, and it will be honored.

ready students academically, HERITAGE ACADEMY has chosen to follow the basic tenants of the classical education model as defined by Dorothy Sayers and to teach a solid core of knowledge as put forward in the K-8 sequence of the Core Knowledge Foundation. We shall always seek to challenge every student all the time. Not all students will learn at the same rate, but all will complete the course.

To be classical means to uphold a standard of excellence. Classical education does not leave children to their own inclinations. Rather it feeds and directs and strengthens children’s mental abilities in the same way that sports exercise their physical abilities. Classical education puts young minds to work.
HERITAGE ACADEMY students acquire concrete skills in the Grammar Stage of Classical Education (K-3), and in the Logic Stage (4-8) learn to test and ask questions about what they have learned. Led by skilled teachers who seek to understand the way each child learns, students grow in wisdom, stature and favor of the Lord.

HERITAGE ACADEMY teaches a solid core of knowledge as put forward in the K-8 sequence of the Core Knowledge Foundation. E.D. Hirsch (the Core Knowledge founder) has stated, “…the almost universal feature of reliable higher-order thinking about any subject or problem is the possession of a broad, well-integrated base of background knowledge relevant to the subject.” By following the framework of Core Knowledge, students are taught a progression of specific knowledge in history, geography, math, science, language arts, and fine arts at that time in theirs lives when most receptive to attaining an organized body of knowledge. HERITAGE ACADEMY provides students an educational framework that assists them in developing the constructs upon which their viewpoints will be based. Core Knowledge and Classical Education have the common purpose of aiming for the acquisition of both intelligence and character.

Along with strong academics, students at
HERITAGE ACADEMY will be readied for the world beyond elementary school when they are taught organization, study and test-taking techniques, how to set goals, how to use class time wisely and well, how and when to ask questions, how to ethically use modern technology, how to make moral and ethical decisions, and how to pray.

By guiding children to develop the virtues of respect, self-control, perseverance, cooperation, integrity, citizenship, and dependence on Christ, students are
readied for the world beyond HERITAGE ACADEMY. They will learn sportsmanship, fair play, sharing, and taking turns. They will be given the opportunity to lead and to follow and to respect the rights of their peers. They will be respected as individuals and honored as a child of God by a staff who has been called by God to teach at HERITAGE ACADEMY.

"At HERITAGE ACADEMY, without exception, the kids experience unconditional love and respect. We also appreciate the positive and safe environment."

"It has been great to be a part of a school community with shared values in placing Christ at the center of our child's education."
